Nomads, designed by renowned Dutch architect Rob Wagemans, opened its doors in Amsterdam in 2002. Since its opening, Nomads has encouraged many European women to let go and start taking oriental dance lessons. The presence of Eastern-style decorative items in many European homes was also influenced by Nomads. The albums of Nomads DJs and artists, blending Eastern music rhythms with Western music, attracted attention in the international music market. The albums achieved significant sales success.
In 2010, Dutch architect Rob Wagemans and the Nomads team opened Nomads in Istanbul. Many decorative elements and materials reflecting North African and Middle Eastern architecture were reinterpreted with a modern architectural approach by Rob Wagemans, merging with Istanbul's historical fabric and architecture. In a very short time, Nomads became one of Istanbul's indispensable destinations, where many Eastern values, flavors, cultures, music, cuisine, drinks, entertainment, art, and architecture blend with the West, just like Istanbul itself.
